Your only overnight is in a private tented camp on the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes, reached by camel after the sun goes down. Tents are simply but comfortably furnished with proper beds and bedding, gathered around a central mess tent where dinner and the campfire music session take place. Shared or en-suite bathroom facilities are available depending on the specific camp used, and given the short duration of this tour, a private camp is booked wherever possible to keep the experience relaxed.

Will we definitely see the Barbary macaques at Azrou?
Sightings are common but not guaranteed, since they are wild animals living freely in the cedar forest, not a zoo. Your driver knows the spots where they most often appear along the roadside and will stop when conditions allow.
I have knee or back problems — can I skip the camel ride?
Yes. We can arrange a 4x4 transfer to the camp instead of the camel trek for anyone with mobility issues, back pain, or who is simply not comfortable on a camel. Just let us know when booking so we can plan the alternative transport.
Does this 2-day tour include Todra Gorge or Dades Valley?
No. This itinerary focuses purely on the Fes–Merzouga corridor to keep the trip to two days. Todra Gorge and Dades Valley are included on our 4 and 5-day tours, which extend south from Merzouga before looping back to Fes.
What should I pack for a one-night desert trip?
A warm layer for the evening and early morning (desert nights get cold even when days are hot), sunglasses, sunscreen, a scarf or hat for wind and sand, comfortable closed shoes for the camel trek, and a swimsuit isn't needed but a change of clothes for the drive back is useful.
